ZongGlass Does Dabs. And Has Since the Beginning.
ZongGlass has been making Zong water pipes in Phoenix, Arizona since 1992. When the concentrate market emerged, the team applied the same philosophy that built the Zong brand — hand-blown American borosilicate glass, custom colour, made to order in their own workshop — to a dab straw. The result was the Zabba Dabba: ZongGlass’s original nectar collector, a one-piece hand-blown glass dab straw built for concentrates. If you already own a Zong bong, the Zabba Dabba comes from the same people, built to the same standard, in the same Phoenix workshop.
What Is a Nectar Collector? (And Why the Zabba Dabba Is One)
A nectar collector — also called a dab straw or honey straw — is a portable concentrate consumption tool shaped like a straw or tube. The user heats the tip of the piece with a torch, lets it reach the right temperature, then touches the heated tip directly to the concentrate and inhales through the mouthpiece. The concentrate vaporises on contact with the hot tip and the vapour travels through the tube body to the user.
Compared to a full dab rig, a nectar collector is dramatically simpler: no water to fill (in the basic format), no carb cap, no dab tool to load the nail, no stable platform required. You heat, you dip, you inhale. The Zabba Dabba is the ZongGlass interpretation of this format: a hand-blown borosilicate glass dab straw with a custom colour body and the option to have the piece silver-fumed, made to order in Phoenix.
🔥 How to use the Zabba Dabba: (1) Have your concentrate ready on a heat-resistant surface (a silicone mat or glass dish). (2) Torch the glass tip for 20–45 seconds until it glows. (3) Remove the flame and allow the tip to cool for 10–30 seconds to reach your preferred temperature. (4) Place your mouth on the mouthpiece, hold the piece horizontally or at a slight angle, and slowly touch the heated tip to the surface of the concentrate while inhaling steadily. The concentrate vaporises on contact and the vapour travels through the body to your lungs. (5) Lift the tip from the concentrate when you have the hit you want. (6) Exhale.
The Zabba Dabba: All-Glass, One-Piece, No Removable Parts
The original Zabba Dabba is an integrated one-piece design: the tip, body, and mouthpiece are all formed from the same continuous hand-blown borosilicate tube. There are no removable components, no joints to assemble, and no accessories required beyond a torch. The simplicity of this design is a genuine virtue for a certain kind of buyer:
- Nothing to lose — no tip to misplace, no K-clip to drop, no joint to break during assembly
- Nothing to leak — a one-piece design has no joint connections that can develop wobble or air leaks over time
- Clean to use — the all-glass contact means no material other than borosilicate glass touches the vapour path at any point; no metal, no quartz, no ceramic — just glass
- Simple to clean — torch the tip to burn off residue; soak the body in Orange Chronic or Grunge Off; rinse; done
ℹ Original vs Dab Straw 2.0: ZongGlass also makes the Zabba Dabba w/ Quartz Tip — a modular version with a removable quartz or titanium tip secured by a K-clip, designed to solve the thermal stress cracking that can occur in an all-glass tip under repeated high-heat torch cycles. If you plan to dab frequently at high temperatures or want the ability to swap between quartz and titanium tips, see the Zabba Dabba w/ Quartz Tip page. If you want a clean, simple all-glass one-piece design with no removable parts, the original Zabba Dabba is the piece.
Custom Colour: Your Zabba Dabba, Your Choice
Every Zabba Dabba is made to order at the ZongGlass workshop in Phoenix. When you order, you can choose the colour of your piece from the ZongGlass colour palette. Because the Zabba Dabba body is a hand-blown glass tube, the colour is applied during the blowing process and becomes a permanent structural part of the glass — it does not fade, chip, or peel. The piece you order is built for you, not pulled from a shelf of identical stock units.
Silver Fuming: The Chameleon Effect
You can have your Zabba Dabba fumed. Fuming is a glassblowing technique in which precious metal — in this case, silver — is vaporised and inlaid within the glass walls during the blowing process. Silver gives the glass a warm yellowish-gold iridescence that shifts and deepens with use. The more a fumed piece is used, the more pronounced the colour-shift effect becomes as concentrate residue accumulates in the glass walls and interacts with the metallic fuming. ZongGlass refers to this as the “chameleon” effect: the piece literally changes colour over time, becoming more visually distinctive the more it is used. A fumed Zabba Dabba fresh from the workshop and a fumed Zabba Dabba that has been used for six months will look visibly different, and both will look different from a non-fumed piece.
The ZongGlass Dab Straw Range: Finding Your Piece
The Zabba Dabba is one of several hand-blown dab straws and nectar collectors in the ZongGlass range. Each is made in the same Phoenix workshop from the same borosilicate glass stock, with silver fuming available and custom colour options throughout. The differences between them are primarily in body shape and design detail:
- Zabba Dabba (this piece) — the original ZongGlass dab straw; all-glass one-piece design
- Zabba Dabba w/ Quartz Tip — the Dab Straw 2.0; removable quartz or titanium tip with K-clip; 14mm joint; for modular use and tip swapping
- 3-Dot Dab Straw / Nectar Collector — all-glass design with three glass dot accents on the body
- 4-Dot Dab Straw / Nectar Collector — all-glass design with four glass dot accents
- Donut Dab Straw / Nectar Collector — all-glass design with a donut-shaped glass element on the body
- Peanut Dab Straw / Nectar Collector — all-glass design with a peanut-shaped glass element
- Maria Dab Straw / Nectar Collector — all-glass design with a Maria-style glass accent
🎨 Choosing your ZongGlass dab straw: If you want the foundational Zabba Dabba with no body decorations — just clean hand-blown glass, custom colour, and optional fuming — this is the original. If you want a glass body accent or decorative element, explore the 3-Dot, 4-Dot, Donut, Peanut, or Maria variants. If you want a modular system with a replaceable quartz or titanium tip, see the Zabba Dabba w/ Quartz Tip. All are made in the same Phoenix workshop to the same quality standard.
Made By The Original Zong Team, Since 1992
ZongGlass is one of the oldest American-made premium glass companies still in operation. Every piece — from the Classic OG Thick Zong bong to the Zabba Dabba — is hand-blown in-house at their workshop in Phoenix, Arizona. Made to order means your piece isn’t sitting in a warehouse somewhere; it’s built for you when your order comes in. That’s why it takes 2–3 weeks and occasionally up to 30 days at peak periods. That lead time is the handmade process, not a supply chain problem.
