An ash catcher acts as a pre-filtration chamber between your bowl and your waterpipe. Instead of ash, resin, and flower debris floating into your Zong’s water, the Z-Catcher traps everything first. Benefits include:

Compatibility: Two Size Options to Fit Your Zong

The Z-Catcher is available in two configurations, each defined by two joint measurements:

Joint Size / Orientation (Downstem Side): This is the joint that inserts into your Zong — where your downstem normally sits. Choose either 14mm or 18mm to match your Zong’s downstem joint, and select Male or Female to match the gender of your bong’s joint.

Bowl Size / Orientation (Top Side): This is where your bowl attaches on top of the Z-Catcher. Choose the size and gender that matches the bowl you want to use (a bowl is included with your Z-Catcher). This two-joint system makes the Z-Catcher fully modular and compatible across your ZongGlass setup.

Angle Options: 45° and 90°

Choosing the right angle is essential for a stable, level setup:

45° Ash Catcher: Best for beaker-base Zongs where the downstem exits at an angle. A 45° catcher keeps your bowl level and your water where it belongs.

90° Ash Catcher: Designed for straight-tube Zong styles where the downstem is closer to vertical. The 90° angle ensures correct water levels and prevents any splash-back into your main chamber.

Fuming Options: Color-Shifting American Glass Art

Like all ZongGlass pieces, the Z-Catcher is available with premium fuming. Fuming is a process by which a precious metal — either .995 Silver or 22ct Gold — is vaporized inside the glass during the blowing process. The result is a piece that starts clear and shifts to stunning metallic hues over time as resin builds up. It’s functional art that gets more beautiful the more you use it.
