The Formula 420 cleaning process is three steps:

• Step 1: Shake the Formula 420 bottle before use to ensure the AbrasivAction™ particles are evenly distributed in the solution
• Step 2: Pour Formula 420 into your piece (bong, pipe, or other glass/metal/ceramic item) and cover or plug the openings; shake your piece firmly for approximately 60 seconds — the solution and micro-abrasives work together to lift and dissolve resin as you shake
• Step 3: Pour out the Formula 420 solution and rinse thoroughly with warm water until all residue and cleaner is removed; your piece is clean and ready to use

💧  Pro tip for Zong bongs: The Z-kink geometry of a Zong bong means some resin can accumulate in the bend areas. For a thorough clean, pour the Formula 420 in from both the mouthpiece end and the base end to ensure the solution reaches all sections of the kink. Shake in multiple directions (horizontal, vertical, inverted) to work the solution through the full tube geometry. For a Zong with a downstem, remove the downstem and bowl before cleaning and clean them separately with a small amount of Formula 420 in a sealed bag or container.

For standard clear or basic coloured glass Zong bongs, Formula 420 Original is perfectly appropriate as a regular cleaner.
