It’s always spooky season at ZongGlass. The Spooky Season Micro Zong is ZongGlass’s seasonal Halloween drop — a genuine 25mm Micro Zong hand-blown in Phoenix, Arizona, in classic black glass with a worked pumpkin shade applied during the glassblowing process. This is not a sticker, not a print, not a painted-on design. The pumpkin color is worked into the glass itself by the original Zong team. Spooky and functional in equal measure.

What makes this Zong:

  • 25mm black glass tube — the Micro Zong’s signature narrow-tube form factor in classic Halloween black
  • Worked pumpkin accent — orange pumpkin shade worked onto the black tube during the blowing process; permanent, not painted or printed
  • 10–12″ height — the Micro Zong’s ideal compact size for desk or shelf display and everyday use
  • Bubble (OG) base — the classic round ZongGlass base; the original Zong shape since 1992
  • 1 kink Z-neck — the genuine Zong splash guard and ergonomic grip built into every Micro Zong
  • Bowl included — ready to use straight out of the package
  • Made to order in Phoenix, AZ — built to your order; ships within a couple of weeks
  • Seasonal drop — available during spooky season; limited availability; order before it disappears

For tobacco use. Must be 18+ to purchase.

It’s Spooky Season. And ZongGlass Has the Bong for It.

Every October, ZongGlass’s Phoenix studio puts down its standard colour rods and picks up something more seasonal. The Spooky Season Micro Zong is the result: a genuine, hand-blown ZongGlass Micro Zong in black glass with a worked pumpkin shade applied directly to the tube during the blowing process — not printed on, not painted, not a decal. Real glass work, for real Spooky Season energy. In ZongGlass’s own words: ‘Lit af. Scary dope.’ We couldn’t say it better.

What Does ‘Worked’ Mean on a Glass Bong?

In glassblowing, ‘worked’ glass refers to colour or design applied to the glass using a second glass rod or colour bar during the blowing process, while the base glass is still molten. The colour glass fuses with the base glass, becoming a permanent, structural part of the piece rather than a surface application. On the Spooky Season Micro Zong, the pumpkin shade — an orange-toned colour glass rod — is worked onto the black tube at the point in the blowing process where the glass is hot enough to accept the second colour. The result is a permanent black-and-pumpkin colorway that cannot chip, peel, fade, or wear off, because it is part of the glass itself.

This is categorically different from every mass-produced Halloween bong on the market. Painted glass, printed designs, and decal-applied patterns are all surface treatments that degrade over time, particularly with repeated heating, cleaning, and handling. The Spooky Season Micro Zong’s pumpkin accent will look exactly the same in five years as it does on day one — because it is worked glass, not applied decoration.

The Micro Zong Form: What You Get

The Spooky Season colorway is applied to the Micro Zong, one of ZongGlass’s most popular small-format pieces. The Micro Zong is built on a 25mm diameter tube and stands 10 to 12 inches tall — a compact size that sits comfortably on a desk, shelf, or bedside table without dominating the space, while still delivering a full Zong water filtration experience. At 25mm it is larger than the Nano Zong (19mm) but smaller than ZongGlass’s standard full-size Zongs, placing it in the sweet spot between desk piece and daily driver.

Like all ZongGlass pieces, the Micro Zong features the signature Z-kink neck — the single bend in the tube that acts as a splash guard, ergonomic grip, and natural ice catcher. The kink is what makes it a Zong rather than a straight-tube mini bong, and it is what sets every ZongGlass piece apart from the generic zig-zag bongs that have copied the shape without the brand’s three decades of refinement.

The Bubble (OG) Base

The Spooky Season Micro Zong is available with a Bubble base (also called the OG base) — the original ZongGlass base style. The bubble base is the round, spherical chamber that sits at the bottom of the piece, providing a wide water volume and a low centre of gravity. It is the base shape that appeared on the very first Zongs blown in Phoenix in 1992. Choosing the Bubble base on a Spooky Season piece is the most authentically ZongGlass configuration available: the original base shape, in the brand’s most iconic seasonal colorway.

The Bubble base is also the most visually balanced choice for the Spooky Season colorway. The round, organic shape of the bubble base echoes the round form of a pumpkin, creating a visual harmony between the base geometry and the worked pumpkin accent on the tube above it.

Black and Pumpkin: The Color Story

The Spooky Season Micro Zong’s black tube and pumpkin accent are one of the most visually effective color combinations in the Halloween glass market — and they are also the most meaningful. Black glass absorbs light rather than transmitting it, giving the tube a dense, dramatic appearance. The worked pumpkin shade — a warm orange tone — contrasts sharply against the black, making it highly visible from across a room. The result is a piece that is instantly recognisable as spooky-themed while remaining sophisticated and collector-quality, avoiding the garish neon-and-cartoon aesthetic that characterises most mass-produced Halloween bongs.

If fuming is added (Silver or Gold — confirm availability on the product page), the iridescence interacts with the black tube to produce a deeper, more complex surface appearance: silver fuming on black glass creates a subtle smoky iridescence, while gold fuming produces warmer tones that complement the pumpkin orange accent.

A Seasonal Drop From the Original Zong Team

ZongGlass has been blowing Zong water pipes in the fiery desert of Phoenix, Arizona since 1992 — making it one of the oldest American-made premium glass companies in existence. Every Zong is custom, made to order, and hand-blown by the same Phoenix team that has been perfecting the Zong shape for over three decades. The Spooky Season Micro Zong is not an outsourced seasonal novelty — it is the same workshop, the same hands, and the same standard of glass, applied to a seasonal colorway. When you buy the Spooky Season Micro Zong, you are buying the real Zong in Halloween dress.

Spooky Season Is Limited. Don’t Wait.

ZongGlass makes the Spooky Season Micro Zong once a year. Each piece is built to order in Phoenix, but the season is finite — once spooky season is over, this colorway goes back into the workshop and won’t be available again until next year. If you want the worked pumpkin Zong, order before the season ends. After that, it’s gone until next Halloween. Add it to your cart now, and welcome to the #ZongFam.
